5K Beach Challenge for Autism

On Sunday, August 15, 2010, hundreds of runners and walkers stormed the beaches to support Autism research and awareness.

The 5K USATF-sanctioned race began at the 34th Street beach, continued south to 49th Street and looped back to the staging area, giving participants the rare opportunity to race on the beach.

Special thanks to all that participated, volunteered, and sponsored the event. We look forward to seeing everyone in 2012. If you would like to volunteer for the planning committee, please contact us.

All proceeds benefit Autism Speaks, a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to increasing awareness about the growing autism health crisis and raising funds for critical autism research.
